Canadian outfit Miracle Fortress continue the Beach Boys fascination exhibited on their debut single Have You Seen In Your Dreams.
On their second release there are unmistakable hints of Don’t Worry Baby combined with the kind of full-on pounding drums Phil Spector unleashed on The Ronettes’ Be My Baby. They really should have gone the whole hog and called the song Maybe Baby. However it’s not just mimicry as Miracle Fortress add wibbly keyboards, shimmering guitars and a throbbing bass line to their fore-bearers and create a living, breathing, shiny and sweet new progeny of their own.
