The new single from Australian electro disco pop outfit Midnight Juggernauts features a smooth house beat that backs a resonating and spacey synth hook.
It is a bit like if Jean Michel Jarre went out and got unexpectedly drunk before staggering back to the home of Juggernaut’s fellow Antipodeans Cut Copy and vomiting all over their laptops. Yet in truth Shadows is not quite as uncouth as that. The vocals are understated, the atmosphere is hazy and it is content to gently stomp its way home without incident or accident. A tad more boorishness wouldn’t have done it any harm.
