With liquid electronic licks, dawn of the space age synths and forceful beats, Just One More sounds like a beefed up Kraftwerk.
Hardly surprisingly as one Hartnoll of Orbital, Phil makes up one half of Long Range, though the mid-tempo breakbeat of their second release, Just One More, is a less intense pace than you might expect. But you sense Hartnoll is not dwelling on his past. He’s seeking a new emphasis that it’s simpler and sturdier than before, but still capable of sweet and steady flights of fantasy. A tantalising glimpse of life beyond the Orbital.
