Sweden’s Lone Wolf shares the same sort of dusty, romantic tone as his neighbours Jens Lekman and The Tallest Man on Earth; reluctantly elegiac lyrics of an old soul with multiple and canny instrumentation to match.
Lone Wolf’s debut ‘The Devil and I’ sparkles subtly with the rest of them; a beautiful voice is showcased on the bare-bones elegance of ‘We Could Use Your Blood’, while the bands talent for composition crops up more obviously on album highlight and Johnny Flynn-esque ‘Keep Your Eyes On The Road’. An absolutely gorgeous first go from a one-to-watch band.
