'70s-inspired thrum-rock

"Right now you probably think I'm a puppet to the man", spits Vile, "well I'll tell you right now you best believe that I am". An irreverent fuck you to anyone doubting Kurt's shift from home-production weirdo to hotly-tipped Matador signing. A relatively cleaner sound will no doubt irk the kind of people who said Pavement sucked after their second limited EP. To the uninitiated, this kind of '70s-inspired thrum-rock might sound a bit AOR, but given time it reveals its nuances, placing Vile somewhere between a rougher-edged M. Ward and a bluesy Ariel Pink.
