Rather delightful
Kate Wax - Dust Collision

Wax is a pedestrian moniker for the far more intriguingly named Aisha Devi Enz, a Swiss born, half-Tibetan artist and producer who has created something quite magical here. Ranging from unrelenting hard lacquered electro to the sharpest, iciest, industrial pop, its reverb heavy bass and warpy electronics sit alongside propulsive piano and admirably adaptable vocals. ‘Archetype’ comes across like a digital version of ‘The Creatures’ with its relentless percussion and big cavernous vocals. Its crystal clear, multi-textured brand of retro futurism is poetically assured and wholly immersive. This is an Aurora Borealis of an album; its colours constantly shifting and surprising. Rather delightful.
