Formed from the ashes of US hardcore bands Blood Brothers and Pretty Girls Make Graves, Jaguar Love are inevitably described as a “supergroup”.
The Travelling Wilburys had Roy Orbison, Jeff Lynne and Bob Dylan – that is a supergroup. Three guys from a couple of short-lived, moderately regarded outfits – that’s just a new band. Anyways this three-track EP sees some pop sparkle injected into the trio’s screechy punk rock sound. In particular Highway Of Gold bursts with catchy hooks whilst containing enough intricate guitar work and vocal yelping to retain an alternative edge. A promising debut from an interesting new band.
