Album number 3 from the 'chalk and cheese' duo

The chalk and cheese pairing of former Belle And Sebastian member Isobel Campbell and ex-Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan might have raised some eyebrows at first, but the pair are now on their third album. Lanegan’s thicker-than-treacle growl and Campbell’s kittenish vocals sound perfectly at home with each other now.

They sound like they have been singing together for a million years as they plough through some rough and ready Americana. The Gothic undertones of the previous two albums have been slightly toned down, but not that much, and this time they also manage to rock out with some more bluesy and electric tracks.
