Iglooghost – Neō Wax Bloom

A dense, layered return...

When Iglooghost first arrived with ‘Chinese Nü Yr’ – a dense electronica fusion of 2-step garage and bass that told the story of a time-travelling gelatinous worm called Xiangjiao – the UK producer completely floored the electronic musicsphere.

Now returning with his debut ‘Neō Wax Bloom’, which explores the adventure of two giant eyeballs colliding into the mystical world of Mamu, Iglooghost has again constructed an overwhelming rabbit hole of psychedelic electro porn. From the moment you enter with the kaleidoscopic ‘Pale Eyes’, to the euphoric closer ‘Göd Grid’, there’s little time to rest amongst this structured chaos. ‘Super Ink Burst’ is a jazz infused odyssey, whilst ‘Bug Thief’, ‘White Gum’ and ‘Peanut Choker’ are some of the best IDM you’ll hear all year.

‘Neō Wax Bloom’ begs for multiple listens and, once you’ve digested every morsel, you’ll be wanting to visit Mamu more often.
