For their third album, the brothers (Anssi and Henri Vaxby) have toned down the country influence of their previous releases and gone for a slightly more pop vibe.
Everyone from Paddy McAloon to The Everly Brothers clearly heavily influences their brand of melodic Americana. Each song has a well-sung chorus with memorable hook lines. It’s all very pleasant and radio friendly, although taken as a whole, the album never really catches fire.
The end result is several songs that will sound great on radio, but the actual album does not make much of an impact. A little rough and ready country might add some gristle to the mix.
