Hope Tala has impressed us with her finely crafted songs ever since the release of ‘Starry Ache’ in 2018. Now, her hotly anticipated debut LP, ‘Hope Handwritten’ has finally landed, and it’s an absolute treat.
Littered with innumerable highlights and demonstrating a remarkable consistency across its 16 tracks, Tala’s fascinating blend of joyous R&B hooks (‘Lights Camera Action’), sparkling dream pop guitars (‘Thank Goodness’, ‘Fall Too Hard’) and luxurious balladry (‘Breaking Isn’t What A Heart Is For’) is nothing short of intoxicating. A heavenly debut from a supreme talent.
