In January 16-year-old Australian Corey Delaney threw a party at his parents’ house that got so out of control it finished with a crowd of 500 teenagers throwing missiles at the police.
If you wished to imagine a soundtrack to such mayhem, the latest single from Leeds band Hadouken! is a good bet. With its air raid sirens, pounding synths and rip-roaring vocals screaming “let’s the party started and tear this place apart”, this is the ultimate in day glo grime for the Skins generation. Noisy, idiotic but definitely a party you’d wish you were at.
