Rich, detailed, and poetic
Giant Sand - Blurry Blue Mountain

Howl Gelb has been effortlessly releasing lo-fi desert rock epics for the past 25 years, either as a solo artist or with his band Giant Sand. The follow up to 2008's acclaimed 'ProVisions' is a hazy, drawn out, but sublime album that feels like a Cormac McCarthy or John Steinbeck novel.

Rich, detailed, and poetic, Blurry Blue Mountain explores human emotion and the meaning of life like the great writers of old. Gelb has been around a long time, and on the basis of this he will be for a long time to come.
