Deeply personal and moving, Swedish sister-duo First Aid Kit deliver a vibrant fifth studio album in ‘Palomino.’ Their most conventionally ‘pop’ work yet, this pensive album uplifts whilst still offering the sisters’ unique blend of folk and Americana.
Tracks ‘Angel’ and ‘Ready To Run’ share stories of heartbreak and happiness, yet still offer opportunities to dance. Whilst other songs such as ‘Turning Onto You’ don’t particularly inspire and feel somewhat under-produced, the album remains pensive, zesty and delicately crafted. This is truly an album to draw comfort from throughout winter.
