Djo – DECIDE

Joe Keery ups the ante on new album...

It should come as no surprise that multi-talented Joe Keery is a favourite with fans already following his huge success as an actor. Yet, in addition to his other prominent roles, Keery also plays another lead in a world of his own – aka Djo

Keery’s devotion to both music and expressionism shines brighter than ever on his newest album ‘DECIDE’. This fascinating collection of spirited hooks, and deeply heartfelt lyricism, cleverly blends high-tech energetic synths, quick wit, and trippy guitars into something you weren’t quite expecting. Arguably, the result is a much bolder record than his last solo debut ‘Twenty Twenty’

Sweeping opener ‘Runner’ immediately takes a pulse-pounding form which jolts your attention as it creates a combination of styles, weaved with Keery’s artistic vocals.

Blissful pop-led tracks ‘Change’ and ‘Half Life’ see Keery delving deep into euphoric electric influences, whilst ‘End Of Beginning’ illustrates rooted sentiment and nostalgia mirrored by wistful echoes.

As far-ranging as ‘DECIDE’ is musically, the lyrics run an even wider range. From the cheerful ‘On And On’ to the vivacious ‘Figure You Out’, the album serves as a somewhat diary of his experiences, capturing themes of mistakes, growth and personal development providing a peek into another sphere of Keery’s talented thoughts.

Welcome to the world of Djo. Prepare yourselves for a blast of sonic light in all its glory.
