Their most mixed work to date…
dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip - Repent Replenish Repeat

Having released respective solo albums, dan le sac and Scroobius Pip have re-entered the studio for their third album together.

By now the routine is familiar: le sac cooks up electro beats that complement Pip’s often caustic, always conscious lyrical barrage.

Regrettably, ‘Repent Replenish Repeat’ is their most mixed work to date. Lead single ‘Stunner’ has a heft of bassy muscle, but the lyrics are surprisingly benign: “I’m not saying you’re perfect, but you’re really, really good.”

Elsewhere, the results are better. ‘Gold Teeth’ (video below), a collaboration with Flux Pavilion, is a lively, satirical attack on hip-hop vanity, whilst ‘Terminal’ masterfully fuses cinematic electronica with unsentimental spoken-word poetry.
