This third album from Citay opens with the unashamedly retro ‘Careful With That Hat’, perfectly setting out their store with twin lead guitars, sweet female harmonising vocals, thundering rock dynamics and a much extended coda.
Which is a GOOD thing. You can see how some might dismiss ‘Dream Get Together’ as irrelevant noodling (oh yes, there are solos herein), but if you are unphased by such concepts then you will enjoy this album a lot. Originally a studio project that has since come to life with a full band, growing around the duo of Ezra Feinberg and Tim Green, Citay have delivered the motherload proving that third time is the charm.
