CAEBAL – BONJOUR

A proud portfolio of creativity and skill...

CAEBAL is a multidisciplinary artist, but one who is relatively new to music. He is the founder of incense brand Cremate, where he explores the power of scent as a way to evoke memory and build atmospheres.

A long-time music fan who already DJ’d, he began playing around with production and lyrics during lockdown. With encouragement from more established musicians around him, CAEBAL continued to release singles and grow confidence through performance. All of this preparation has led up to the release of his new album, ‘BONJOUR’, out today.

“I wanted to bring a piece of my world to listeners globally. It’s about connection, resilience, and the everyday struggles and triumphs we all face. I believe music should reflect life, and this album is a testament to that belief.” A 10-track project that straddles rap, electronic music and rock, CAEBAL’s unmistakably deep tone is the thread connecting every piece. Production glides between the ultra-melodic on ‘DAISIES’, to guitar-heavy on ‘LATE’ and ‘PROMISES’, and piano-led on ‘SUP M8’, so much so that it feels like a proud portfolio of creativity and skill.

The stand-out track is ‘THE MORNING’, which follows a narrative between CAEBAL and featured artist, ROSIN. The slow-and-steady rhythm guides us through the tricky situationship the characters find themselves in, ending in no obvious resolution, which mirrors the cyclical soundscape.

‘THE TRUTH’ offers something more akin to old-school rap, with CAEBAL’s unaltered voice declaring the state of the world through his eyes. ‘SUPER EAGLE SOLDIERS’ delivers a sultry soundtrack, on top of which CAEBAL reflects on his Nigerian heritage and existence in the diaspora, while ‘LATE’ featuring yellowtechnica, closes off the project with a sincere moodiness that leaves the listener in a sombre and reflective disposition.

“This album is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a journey through the struggles, triumphs, and connections that shape our shared human experience.” CAEBAL has successfully and bravely shared his inner workings through a raw release that prompts the listener to go back to the beginning until they have uncovered every emotion and message embedded in ‘BONJOUR’.
