Lilting, and largely beautiful
Bertie Blackman - Secrets And Lies

Having taken Australia this troubadour from down under hits the UK like a girl with a one-track-mind. Dig a little deeper and it’s clear to see there is a lot more depth to these lilting, and largely beautiful tracks.

Strong, crisp vocals coupled with driving bass and thumping rhythms are juxtaposed by the subtle and occasional fragility of Blackman’s vocals. It’s hard to see the shelf life of this offering turning into a lifelong classic but it is certainly worthy of every eclectic collection.
