Slowly, almost imperceptibly, the whisper has grown into a distant yet ever-nearing roar.
The reception that has greeted both recent single ‘Norway’ and leaks of Beach House’s third long player ‘Teen Dream’ suggests that this is a band with the rarest of touches, familiar in their frailty yet fathomless in their depths.
Many have already been drawn into the melancholy whirlpools of their past two albums; yet more will surely be drawn by the warmer embrace of Legrand and Scally’s latest statement, a stronger, rhythmic definition offering a hand through the ether, beckoning the listener into their fluid tapestry. May they never grow nor wake up.
