Supreme Nashville punkettes Be Your Own Pet are back and to prove what a feisty bunch of do what-they-want wildcats they are, they are releasing four singles in the space of two weeks.
All four songs demonstrate that the teen quartet remain as ferocious as ever ahead of their second album release. Singer Jemina howls like Robert Plant’s surly illegitimate daughter, while the boys trash their guitars and drums like the 1980’s never happened. Listening to them is like hanging out with a sneering group of dropouts as they talk about partying, food fights and generally being unthinking, insensitive punk rock geniuses.
