The multi-talented Mr. Arthur Russell left more to us than just a legacy of fantastic recordings. His spirit of adventure and experimentalism lives on in the people who worked with him, many of whom pay tribute to the man himself on ‘Arthur’s Landing’.
Drawing from the full scope of Russell’s work, from elastic disco to acoustic balladry and back, classics like ‘Is It All Over My Face’ and ‘In The Light Of The Miracle’ are completely transformed with brand new arrangements. A great concept that suffers from perhaps just a little too much polish at times.
