Delicious Vinyl – the hip-hop label home to the likes The Pharcyde – are putting out a series of new remixes of their classic tracks.
Remixers onboard include Hot Chip, Spank Rock and the latter’s fellow Baltimore DJs Aaron Lacrate and Debonair Samir, who take on Young MC’s Know How in this first release. The first of their two mixes backs the rapper’s quality flow with Samir’s gritty funk rave stomper, Samir’s Theme, to great effect, while the second is a ferocious break beat pounder. Both are smart enough to simply back Young MC’s tremendous rap and not become the main event.
