JUNIOR EDITOR / NEW MUSIC EDITOR, LONDON OFFICE

Are you up-to-date with the very latest in new releases? Are you au fait with the ever-progressing landscape of emerging artists? Do you know your Oscar Jerome from your Oscar #Worldpeace, your slowthai from your Slow Hollows? Clash are on the lookout for a passionate Junior Editor / New Music Editor to stand alongside our expanding editorial team at the forefront of new music journalism.

Clash is home to the award-winning Clash Magazine, Europe’s biggest independent music and fashion title, whose dedication to pioneering new music has secured first cover exclusives with Stormzy, Billie Eilish, Earl Sweatshirt, Dua Lipa, James Blake, A$AP Rocky, Jorja Smith, Death Grips, King Krule, and many more.

You’ll play an integral role in the daily content creation of Clash’s print, digital and social platforms, generating fresh ideas and initiatives, writing and commissioning features, and managing a vital network of contributors. It’s essential that you bring experience to the role; you’ll already be in contact with industry PRs/A&Rs who keep you abreast of next gen talents that appear on the horizon, and you’ll have a portfolio of writing (either for other titles or your own blog) to provide as examples of your work.

Your music tastes will be broad but with a rich and penetrating knowledge of specific areas and a real enthusiasm for discovering fresh talent. Provisionally a part-time position, this role further requires a commercial awareness and a commitment to the connecting areas of the business where your influence can positively impact: e.g. Clash Live event booking and branded content partnerships. You will represent Clash in all areas, assisting with internal/external communications as necessary.

To apply, please send a CV and cover letter to: Careers@ClashMusic.com. Deadline for applications is 31st November 2018.

As an equal opportunities employer, Clash aims to develop a diverse and inclusive workplace that represents a spectrum of skills, perspectives and backgrounds. We hire solely on merit, and encourage applications regardless of sex, gender identity, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion or belief, and disability.
