Alt-pop voice Zito has shared her new ‘Wanna See Red’ EP in full.
The rising songwriter blends soulful tropes with pristine production, resulting in something alluring, and uniquely potent. New EP ‘Wanna See Red’ contains six tracks, and it displays her potent, passionate brand of left-field pop.
Melodic and assured, her dynamic sense of control is couple to some cute word play. Continually challenging herself across the EP, her elastic pop is worth comparing to American heroine Maggie Rogers, or Ashe.
Having kicked off her account 2023 single ‘Slay’, the full EP contains some revelatory moments. Alongside this, Zito has also crafted a new video for title song ‘Wanna See Red’, which Clash is able to share.

I am so ecstatic that we finally get to share this project with the world. These songs were all experiments in production, where I wanted to capture atmosphere and imagery in the sound and create a sonic landscape unique to each one. Hopefully listeners are transported the way I was working on them.
