Swedish pop queen Zara Larsson has shared her new single ‘End Of Time’.
The songwriter recently inaugurated her new era with ‘Can’t Tame Her’, an unruly ode to femme energy. New single ‘End Of Time’ switches it up once more, a moving and nuanced ode to realising your dreams, and learning your own potential.
Lyrically, Zara discusses unpicking the trauma of the past through embracing the security of the present, against a backdrop of delicious synth pop. Crafted alongside powerhouse co-writers Rick Nowels and Danja, she sings: “I want your love / To redefine / The very meaning of my life / Undo the fabric of my mind…”
The power video has a coming-of-age theme, and finds Zara meeting her younger self. Imparting some wisdom, it’s a moving piece of visual therapy, and brings to life a song Zara Larsson has been working on for some considerable time.
Zara Larsson comments…
“I have been working on this song for a long time and as soon as it was finished, we all knew that it was really special. When it came to making the video I collaborated with The Baker Twins on a story that is very personal to me. I have explored this theme before, that there’s a real duality to my life in being a fan and a creator, a real person and a pop star. I’m working on loving all those sides equally. That’s why I feel like the video is my version of an eternal love story.”
Tune in now.
