Yves Jarvis Shares New Song ‘Gold Filigree’

Left-field funk-pop with jazz-tinged elasticity...

Canada’s own Yves Jarvis has shared his new song ‘Gold Filigree’.

The musician – real name Jean-Sébastien Yves Audet – is a real force of nature, a multi-disciplinarian whose work defies convention. With two Polaris nominations to his name, Yves Jarvis is building a catalogue to reckon with.

Out now, new song ‘Gold Filigree’ is testimony to his undaunted creativity. Louche funk-pop that recalls everyone from Prince to Anderson .Paak, there’s also a jazz-like elasticity to the way the song operates.

Ricocheting between unexpected moments, ‘Gold Filigree’ is the work of a true auteur. Operating alone, the song was built without a single collaborator, the cosmic soul of the musicality resonating with his own whims and passions.

Seemingly, it came into being in one ongoing rush of audio world-building, with Yves commenting: “this time… I had actual parts. Instead of making a world, I thought: ‘I’m a band.”

A bewitching about-turn, you can check out ‘Gold Filigree’ below.
