Irish-Malaysian producer and songwriter yuné pinku has released an ethereal cover of ‘Dreams’ by The Cranberries.
This is her most recent release via Platoon, and it follows her recent EP ‘BABYLON IX’. This cover is a nod her Irish heritage, transforming it into a glimmering electronic track. The distorted vocals and atmospheric breaks do not take away from the importance of the lyrics, it puts the classic song into a whole new dimension. It’s the perfect way to be able to listen to ‘Dreams’ in any context.
yuné pinku’s new track also seems like a pause from the fast-paced success of her two previous EPs, including playing with Joy Orbison, featuring on Hop Chip’s new single and completing a support with Biig Piig. The new single shows that Pinku put her own spin on well-established songs as well as making her own music. She will be playing multiple dates this Autumn including the UK, Australia, France and Germany.
