Young Knives Plan Book

Oxford Trio Literary Ambitions

Oxford based trio Young Knives have revealed that they are are working on a book about touring, as well as crafting their third album.

The group spoke to BBC 6Music, with frontman Henry Dartnell explaining that “we’re doing an almost-word-of-mouth history of touring bands with a bit of us in there, but just tying it together with our own experiences if we think any of them are interesting enough.”

No doubt it will contain some of the band’s now trademark off the wall humour. At last weekend’s Hydro Connect festival the band proudly proclaimed themselves to be the true author’s of Robbie Williams’ “Angels”, amongst other boasts.

Dartnell also took time to explain that the band are hard at work on album number three, revealing that the band’s working methods are very strict.

“The way we do it seems to be pretty much nine-to-five on Monday to Friday, and then at the weekend we go and do festivals – so it’s like we’re working seven days a week.”
