Oxford indie funsters Young Knives have recently revealed that the working title for their forthcoming third album is “Royal Daylight”.
The band have been busy this summer, revealing that they work a 9-5 day in order to leave time for festivals at the weekend. Young Knives recently played a stunning set on the main stage of Hydro Connect, and despite being dogged by heavy rain managed to lift the crowds spirits with their usual mix of mirth and singalong indie pop.
In an interview with BBC 6Music, Young Knives revealed that they have begun working on their new album – the follow up to this year’s well received “Superabundance”. The title of the new album is currently “Royal Daylight”, a slogan taken from a steam engine at Didcot Parkway railway station which they live near.
Young Knives have had a busy year. In between releasing “Superabundance” and touring the UK Young Knives also managed to get involved in a dispute with an old label after they re-released old tracks without their permission.
There is no release date for the third Young Knives album.
