Young Don is making power moves.

New project 'Weatherman 3' raises the levels once again, with its September 24th accompanied by a barrage of hype.

"I took my time with the ‘Weatherman 3’ mixtape," he tells Clash, "as it’s been five years since the release of ‘Weatherman 2’, and I wanted the last one in the trilogy to be special and organic. I signed a producer named Acez to my production company and he sent me over beats every other day which he thought would suit me. He actually inspired the project by sending me great beats which forced me to write."

Working continuously through lockdown, Young Don roped in the one and only DJ Drama to host the tape, while the features a geared up to represent the UK, and our unique brand of underground culture.

Out on September 24th, it's led by punchy new single 'The Play Offs', a sign of Young Don's escalating ambitions.

There's a sense of the artist reaching out to his goals, refusing to be pushed aside by the obstacles along the way.

He comments: "The album/mixtape was largely influenced by serving time in prison and my past life. This mixtape is to give belief to those who are going through difficult times or feel stuck in a place they don’t want to be to let them know anythings possible and don’t give up."

Someone working with the finishing line in sight, 'The Play Offs' finds Young Don in full flow.
