YOUANDI Combines Forces With A2 on ‘eazy’

A gorgeous highlight from the singer-songwriter's debut album 'isaidtome'

Amsterdam riser YOUANDI has merged forces with A2 on standout single ‘eazy’.

Atmospheric and self-indulgent, the track hints towards a darker, more minimal phase of R&B. Shifting between grunge acoustics, swelling synths and hypnotic keys, YOUANDI’s voice flutters over the production effortlessly, starkly contrasting against A2’s disorientating and cutting verse . The two combine with a haunting yet captivating energy, serving as an introduction to YOUANDI’s debut album ‘isaidtome’.

Born and raised in the Netherlands, the singer-songwriter creates music that reflects on her mixed heritage from South America to Europe. Marking her debut with 2018’s Wy’, the artist has consistently focussed on a more subtle, spacious production that spotlights her intricate tones. Experimenting with a delivery that is equally intimate yet distant, ‘isaidtome’ sees the artist look inwards, taking listeners on a deeply personal, mood-defining journey.

Speaking on the project, YOUANDI details: “At times, I find myself grappling with the wisdom and messages I missed, making life harder for myself. Yet, the music I’ve written has become a source of crazy beautiful teachings. Although also confusing sometimes since they make me question myself and the nature of things in spirals sometimes but all questions contain great purpose.
