You Me At Six Expand Album

Surrey punks confirm new single

Surrey punks You Me At Six are set to charge the charts all over again after confirming details of an expanded version of their debut album ‘Take Off Your Colours’.

You Me At Six were just another unassuming punk group. Playing for fun, the band began touring and building a fan base. Where others stopped, they just kept going, and going, and going.

Signed by Slam Dunk Records the band began recording their material. Placing tracks on their MySpace page they were astonished by the level of response they received. Playlisted on Radio 1, the band were rocketed to a level of fame they couldn’t even dream of.

Suddenly supporting their idols, You Met At Six took off on tours with American superstars such as Fall Out Boy and Fightstar. Gaining fans, the band were propelled by word of mouth until their early YouTube videos were racking up over 2 million hits.

Debut album ‘Take Off Your Colours’ was released earlier this year and has become a phenomenal success. Breaking into the Top 40 it was hailed by critics as one of the finest punk records to emerge from Britain in some time.

The band have kept on touring, thriving on the relationship with their fans. A recent UK tour was their biggest to date, with You Me At Six booked to play a number of prominent festival slots.

Recently performing on the Radio 1 stage at Scotland’s T In The Park, the band have also taken their punk rock racket to Download and Oxegen with more events in the pipeline.

Before then, however, You Me At Six are due to re-release their debut album with a number of bonus tracks. The new version of ‘Take Off Your Colours’ will contain the original studio album but will come backed with a second CD featuring five new songs and two videos.

Taken from the album, new single ‘Kiss And Tell’ is available from September 7th. Available on CD, seven inch and download the single should tide fans over until You Me At Six complete their new album.

With the band already in the studio, and with a ferocious work ethic, it shouldn’t be long until You Me At Six return with another long player.

You Me At Six are due to release a special edition of their new album ‘Take Off Your Colours’ on September 14th.
