Yo La Tengo Preview New Album

Listen to 'Omh' now...

Yo La Tengo have offered up a time lapse video for 'Omh' – the latest preview from new album 'Fade'.

Reason why the world had better not end today #10352 – Yo La Tengo are set to release a new album next year. The Hoboken group have been hard at work, with new LP ‘Fade’ set to be released through Matador on January 14th.

The cover artwork has already been unveiled, and features an evocative shot of a tree found in Portland’s Overlook Park. Now the band have unveiled a new video, featuring the same tree. ‘Omh’ is taken from their new album, a gradually evolving slice of psych-infused indie songcraft.

In a neat twist, Yo La Tengo have matched the song to a time lapse video of that same tree throughout the seasons. It’s an oddly moving affair, which reminds us all that – unless there really is an apocalypse on the way – life goes on.
