South London multi-disciplinarian Wu-Lu returns with new single 'Times'.
Often linked to the capital's jazz scene, Wu-Lu's genre-less creativity exists on terms of its own.
Recent single 'South' pushed his profile to new levels, something his latest release will no doubt eclipse.
Somewhere between jazz, metal, and spoken word, 'Times' is an angular construction, an oblique strategy that unfolds on its own terms.
Genuinely unique, the subtle drumming comes from black midi's Morgan Simpson, building to that dynamite chorus.
"It’s of understanding that with time comes wisdom. Living life teaches us everything we can to bounce back, we are made of more than what society wants to tell us," Wu-Lu states. "The world weighs heavy on all of our shoulders in different ways. It’s important that we look out for each other in times of growth…"
