Wiz Khalifa has placed his cult mixtape ‘Star Power’ on streaming services.
Remarkably, the tape is now 15 years old, and represented a colossal breakout moment for the Pittsburgh artist. A bold 23 track document, it was built at I.D. Labs and features a glittering array of his peers.
Credits on the tape include production talent such as Sledgren, E. Dan, Johnny Juliano, Rocky Fontaine, and Big Jerm, while the process found Wiz Khalifa working closely alongside Chevy Woods (then known as Kev Da Hustla).
At the time of release, it felt like a real moment – particularly when Wiz followed it with the blog-era classic ‘The Thrill’.
Now on streaming services for the first time, ‘Star Power’ is well worth revisiting – from fan favourites such as ‘Ink My Whole Body’ to the deep cuts.
He shares: “I’m pumped to have ‘Star Power’ on streaming platforms for fans to hear their favourites from this tape.”
Tune in now.
