Witch Post’s ‘Rust’ Channel Replacements Nonchalance

A song "about taking a chance on someone..."

Rising London duo Witch Post have shared new song ‘Rust’.

The project is rooted in the twin imaginations of Alaska Reid and Dylan Fraser, with debut single ‘Chill Out’ serving notice of their arrival this year.

Since then Witch Post have played some key shows around London, and finish the year at the George Tavern on December 18th.

Out now, new single ‘Rust’ matches ragged indie rock tropes against something modern and future-facing. There’s a hint of Replacements-style nonchalance, a quiet swagger that impresses you with its understated confidence.

A colourful pop song that is left deliberately raw, ‘Rust’ spotlights something endearingly pure about their work together.

Witch Post comment…

‘Rust’ is about taking a chance on someone. Dylan and I met under strange circumstances. Both of us have solo careers and plenty of baggage. Neither of us intended on being in a band again. However, the timing was undeniable and we couldn’t help but write together. ‘Rust’ is inspired by the album ‘All Shook Down’ by The Replacements. It’s a combination of heart-aching melancholy cut with the glimmer of change.

Tune in now.
