Witch Fever Bite Back With ‘Blessed Be Thy’

It makes your blood run cold...

In a fuzzy haze of doom-punk, Witch Fever are here to deliver a twisted hymn. Serving as their first release since 2021 debut EP ‘Reincarnate’, latest single ‘Blessed Be Thy’ adds fuel to the fire, further amplifying the feverish sound the quartet have carved out for themselves thus far.

Produced by Pigs x7’s Sam Grant, ‘Blessed Be Thy’ gorgeously captures exactly what makes Witch Fever so exciting: that thick, brutal curse of punk energy that makes your blood run cold. The track riles with a sinful undercurrent of fury; rumbling, grunge-y riffs emphasise preacher Amy Walpol’s raw, broken vocals screeching out over the congregation.

Speaking on the track, Walpol notes that ‘Blessed Be Thy’ serves as the perfect transitional track moving forward; “it was literally the last song we wrote before we went into the studio, but it came together really quickly. I think it still has an essence of some of our older material, so it’s a good way to bridge the gap.”

The video further adds to the distressed energy of the track. With the help Sam O’Leary, Sony’s 4th Floor Creative team, and stylist Matt King, the visuals capture that early 00s nu metal music video feel – a touch unhinged, drowning in a gloomy, cold colour palate and as it descends further into decay.

With Fever are powerfully secure in their sound and aesthetic, and there next venture is sure to cement this even further. The band have even been nominated for Best UK Breakthrough Artist at the Heavy Music Awards (voting closing on April 22nd), so, if you’re not already involved, it’s time to join the congregation.
