Post-punk legends Wire have released ‘Cactused’, the first glimpse into their upcoming seventeenth album ‘Mind Hive’.
42 years after their debut album ‘Pink Flag’ they’re still as original as ever. The smooth vocals on 'Cactused' combine with soft but catchy rhythms create the perfect punk-pop track.
The video clip accompanying the song is made up out of footage of their forthcoming documentary, People In Film which is set to be released in late 2020.
People In Film is partially funded by a crowdfunding campaign that was started in the summer of 2019. The British band will embark on a UK and USA tour that’ll start late January. They’ll begin in the UK before going to the USA to eventually conclude in London, their home base.
Just last year Wire reissued their first three albums ‘Pink Flag’, ‘Chairs Missing’ and ‘154’ but the ever so busy band will release the follow up to critically acclaimed ‘Silver/Lead’, ‘Mind Hive’, on January 24th.
