Grammy award winning singer Amy Winehouse is due to be divorced from her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, her mother has confirmed.
The singer had been due to divorce dear old Blake, but some reports claimed she was close to changing her mind and taking him back again. Fielder-Civil is currently doing a significant amount of porridge for causing actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice .
Strangely, it was Fielder-Civil himself who instigated the divorce meaning that even if Winehouse did want him back she presumably wouldn’t get him.
Speaking to Heat Magazine Janis Winehouse confirmed the marriage is over. “The divorce proceedings are still going ahead. Her dad Mitch deals with that side of things.”
Asked about a divorce settlement, the singer’s mother replied “I don’t know what is happening with regards to Blake. All I know is that we have always looked after her finances. We have a company where all of Amy’s money goes. We’re a family and we make sure we look after one another.
Amy Winehouse is currently on a much publicised holiday in the Caribbean.
