Grime Originals threw Wiley a birthday party at the end - but the Godfather himself didn't show.
The Grime Originals team throw some of London's best grime raves, and decided to toast the MC who arguably kicked the whole thing off in the first place.
One of grime's defining figures, Wiley's life and work were celebrated with a special event at South London's Fire club on Saturday (January 26th).
The guestlist was mouth-watering, the support cast was glistening, but Eski himself was nowhere to be found.
Social media quickly went into overdrive...

Wiley himself has just offered a kind of explanation for the weekend's events, blaming immigration and missed court dates before adding: "This one was out of my hands to be honest with ya..."
