Kendal indie types Wild Beasts have finished the stunning video to their new single ‘Hooting & Howling’.
Formed at high school, Wild Beasts caught the nation’s attention after signing to Bad Sneaker Records and released the snarling, outrageous and downright daft single ‘Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants’.
Scooping radio play, the band were snapped up by esteemed house of all things musical Domino Records who released their debut album ‘Limbo, Panto’.
With chiming guitars battling underneath him Hayden Thorpe’s falsetto voice of one of the most unusual in British rock. But, at a time when indie sounds increasingly generic, perhaps that is actually a good thing.
Since then Wild Beasts have toured incessantly, honing a tremendous live show. While many debate the quality of their music, in the live arena Wild Beasts have few peers taking no prisoners with their indie rockin’ fun and games.
Finding the time to craft a new album, the band have clearly not lost their love of the absurd. New single ‘Hooting And Howling’ is a case in point, featuring as it does Wild Beasts literally hooting and howling.
An able precursor of their new album ‘Two Dancers’ the single comes before a summer dominated by festival appearances. Wild Beats are set to play at (deep breath) Lounge On The Farm, Oxegen, Latitude, Truck, Camp Bestival and more.
New single ‘Hooting & Howling’ is due to be released on limited edition pink vinyl. With only 500 copies available, you’d better act quick!
