Wilco are set to release their new EP ‘Speak Into The Rose’ in time for Black Friday.
Returning with their new album ‘The Whole Love’, Wilco showed that they had no intentions of resting on their laurels. The American band are often tagged as alt country, but ‘The Whole Love’ found them blasting beyond any definition put in their way.
Recently completing a full British tour, the band played a series of concerts across the country. Ending with two nights at the Roundhouse, Wilco are now preparing to release a limited edition EP.
A new – largely Stateside – venture, Black Friday is a bonus feature from the makers of Record Store Day. Opening tomorrow (November 25th) the event echoes the pre-Christmas sales rush, and features some exclusive releases.
Wilco’s record label Anti- confirmed plans for the new EP, which will be titled ‘Speak Into The Rose’. Containing four tracks, the EP will be pressed in limited quantities on heavy weight translucent red vinyl.
Featuring the demo version of ‘I Might’ the EP also contains alternate version of The Whole Love’s epic opener ‘Art of Almost’.
Completing the four track EP are ‘Speak Into The Rose’ and ‘Message From Mid-Bar’ – previously only available on the deluxe version of ‘The Whole Love’.
As if that wasn’t enough, 30 copies (distributed randomly) will contain a special sticker, entitling them to receive a poster signed by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy.
