Widowspeak are set to release new EP 'The Swamps' through Captured Tracks on October 28th.
A Brooklyn shoegaze outfit, you say? Ten a-penny, surely, but then Widowspeak have also had that something extra to entice us. 2011's 'Almanac' album was a wonderful step forward, the sound of a band coming to grips with their own potential.
Released via esteemed house of reverb Captured Tracks, it was followed by an extensive period of touring which saw Widowspeak learn how to walk and talk like a band.
Taking a break, it seems that those creative batteries have been re-charged. New EP 'The Swamps' is set to be released on October 28th, and features six newly recorded songs.
New track 'True Believer' has been placed online. Country tinged, Molly Hamilton seems lost in a fog, attempting to trace her way to that other, dream America…
