Texan psych outlaws White Denim are apparently working on a total of two new albums.
The Lone Star State, Texas likes to do things its own way. Extremely conservative, this just means that youth culture has to fight harder to be heard.
Emerging from the Southern state, White Denim share the same individual mindset. Non-retro psychedelia, their album ‘Fits’ ranks alongside some of the finest rock music produced by the States over recent years.
A pulsating, vastly energetic experience ‘Fits’ is matched only by the ferocity of their live show. An old fashioned power trio, White Denim recently decided to take time off to work on a batch of new material.
Spending the summer cooped up in the studio, White Denim have decided to let fans know how they are getting on. A series of updates have hinted that work on their new album is almost complete, but it seems the Texan group have a surprise up their sleeve.
Issuing a new tour announcement, White Denim revealed that they have been working on not one but two albums. “We will have new music for you to hear and buy in October. It will be the latter of the 2 records we’ve made this year.”
Oh really? In addition to this, White Denim have expanded to a quartet: “We got a new guitarist that shreds.”
No further details have been confirmed. In a previous posting White Denim announced: “Basic tracking complete”.
The band are set to break cover next month for a lengthy North American tour. Opening in Austin, Texas on October 16th the dates take them across the entire United States, finishing with a run on the West Coast.
Shows in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego are due to follow with tickets on sale now. There are no signs of any European or British dates at present, although with new material due in October some shows could yet be announced.
