Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne was the guest host on a Los Angeles radio show, taking time to play some of his favorite tracks by MGMT, Pink Floyd, Nina Simone and Feist.
Coyne has been busy attending screening of ‘Christmas On Mars’, the Flaming Lips stunning new film. Recorded entirely in Coyne’s back garden it is rumored to be a cross between ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ and ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’. With British screenings coming soon, this is one film experience not to be missed.
Asked what new music he is listening to, Coyne replied that “if the music is new to you, it’s a new experience”. He did, however, ring the praises of Radiohead, Beck and MGMT.
Coyne also took time to praise newly elected United States president Barack Obama. “Maybe some change really has happened, and I think it’s happening in the best way possible…by people voting and being civilised”
