Tindersticks are offering fans a quick preview of their new album ‘the something rain’.

Led by Stuart Staple, Tindersticks have built up an imposing reputation. The band have spent fifteen years releasing lush, evocative chamber pop with Staple’s crooning baritone wrapping itself around some affecting songs.

Starting work on a new album last year, the band recently confirmed plans for their eighth LP. Set to be released in February, ‘the something rain’ was recorded between May 2010 and August 2011.

Comprising a total of nine songs, little has so far emerged from ‘the something rain’. Now Tindersticks are streaming a new video, which contains the previously unreleased track ‘Medicine’.

Davie Reeve took control of the short film, which was shot in the bands Le Chien Chanceux Studio. Watch ‘Medicine’ below…

Set to be released in February, the artwork for ‘the something rain’ comes from ‘Skies September 2010 – Sept 2011’ by Suzanne Osborne.
