Squarepusher has taken part in a dramatic live clip focussing on his track ‘Drax 2’.
Never one to let the grass grow under his feet, Squarepusher recently completed work on his new album. ‘Ufabulum’ – it’s a mad up, nonsense word – marks the producer’s return to electronics after a lengthy stint exploring the bass.
To mark this shift, Squarepusher has devised a new live show. Featuring some spectacular visuals, a few clips have made their way online since the new album was announced earlier this year.
Recently taking part in a collaboration with The Creators Project, a video has been crafted using footage from his appearance at the Creators Project: San Francisco event in March this year.

A quick quote from Squarepusher to explain a little more about the track. “As a boy I had a Ladybird book about power stations that I used to re-read every day. I’m obsessed with electrical energy and especially in the vast quantities generated by power stations”.
“The sound of the massive electric motor from a fairground Ferris Wheel has always stayed humming in my head and lots of my synth sounds refer to it, as they do in this piece. From there I tried to generate images of bizarre transitory phenomena that I imagined could be found in the huge furnaces of power stations.”
‘Ufabulum’ is set to be released on May 14th.
