Rinse FM have launched a new documentary series to kick-start their 18th birthday celebrations.
Pirate broadcasting is a nebulous, impossible to track phenomena which flirts with the outer regions of the radio dial. Or, at least, it used to be – until Rinse FM came along.
Maintaining its status at the forefront of British music, the bass juggernaut turns 18 this year. Continually pushing ahead, Rinse FM are planning to host a number of special events and release plenty of new music.
Now the station has outlined plans for a documentary series. Titled Vintage Rinse, the series is set to contain mainstays such as Uncle Dugs alongside a few new faces.
The first part emerged online earlier today, and features Geeneus looking back on the early years of the station. It’s a fun listen, full of coming of age tales about tracking down half-way operational transmittors and beaming across the rooftops of London.
