The newcomer's live show has set tongues wagging, with his strong, husky voice seeming to wrap the simplest of lines in the most profound of emotions.
Stopping past the latest episode of Later… to perform 'Human', Rag'n'Bone Man seemed to underline his enormous potential.
Remaining on set to chat amiably to the host, the singer revealed his love of Ray Charles, and his enthusiasm for vintage soul.
